So 3 years ago it was me awaiting my results the day before the exhibition opened….sitting in the waterfront with a beer wondering what was next in store.  Noe the brilliant fresh crop are through and have some amazing work. Really blown away, seems to be some excellent typographic work.

June = tune Playlist…

So here’s Junes playlist, some great finds and old classics.  All the best music coming from Scandinavia it seems, see the Radio Dept for proof of this.  I also went to the last ever Supergrass gig on UK soil last week, totally amazing. Also revisiting PNAU. Kick back, click on link below and enjoy.

Aces packaging..

This is pure genius: Audio engineering company GGRP Sound sent a 45rpm record in a corrugated cardboard sleeve that doubles as a record player. You can put it together one single step.

I like.

Paper fox press…

My very good friend and awesome illustrator Mr Robin Boyen had just started a collaboration with some fellow illustrators and Falmouth graduates called the Paper Fox Press.

“The Paperfox Press collaborative features four of the UK’s most exciting young Illustrators. Formed in 2010, Paperfox brings you news and updates on the innovative work of Aaron Miller, Green Glasses, Matt Taylor and Robin Boyden, as well provides a shop to buy your favourite prints”

Follow them on twitter and faceboook for freebies, competitions and great ‘what to do with free election leaflet’ origami tutorials like this one:

And great Fox masks last this one:

Cracking work chaps.

Sweet ass time consuming map o’ london…

Stephen Walter, ‘The Island’, 2008

The Island satirises the London-centric view of the English capital and its commuter towns as independent from the rest of the country. The artist, a Londoner with a love of his native city, offers up a huge range of local and personal information in words and symbols. Walter speaks in the dialect of today, focusing on what he deems interesting or mundane.
